On Saturday, October 8, a number of us gathered at Frank Bramhall Park in Willow Glen to chat with Aby from Golden State Canine to ask your most pressing questions about life (and problems) with our dogs! From overcoming car anxiety, settling down in public, to keeping our fur-friends from chasing after squirrels, Aby provided solid, straightforward and solution oriented answers to our most difficult questions.
For example, one person asked about their dog's extreme car anxiety, and the difficulty they have taking the dog anywhere. As a result, the only time their dog travels in the car is when they absolutely have to - like when they go to the vet. Not the most pleasant of experiences. Aby spent time talking through the dog's personal history and quickly identified several triggers, and gave a concrete progression of steps to take to recondition the dog to have a positive association with the car.
